Prudence and Veronica are back in my office for yet another painful and embarrassing conversation. As I scold them for their delinquency , neither of these wayward girls can bear to look me in the eye, because they are terrified of the punishment that is coming. Veronica watches from the corner, as Prudence bends over my desk for her next punishment. With a heavy, three-tailed Scottish tawse, I give the errant girl nine hard strokes on her bare bottom, then switch to a longer tawse for another set of stingy swats to her already-sore cheeks.
